I miss the day we were strangers.
When we were two lost souls submerged in the sea of life.
I miss the state of pure curiosity.
Never challenging the would if and could be’s.
Never exploring the uncharted lands of desire.
Knowing I can’t turn back the hands of time but desperatly trying anyways.
How beautiful you were to me.
Your light bright and blinding.
Admiring your light in awe I ignored your glimmering shadow.
Your light was bright this is true but your darkness shined much brighter.
I clenched so tightly to the idea of you that I couldn’t see the truth unfold before me.
I didn’t see your narcissistic ways because I too put you above all.
